I then asked the husband to name more letter C edibles in the house to add to my list, and he said, "Ritz crackers?" "Cow?" I told him he no longer had to do that job, and he walked away. I heard the cupboard doors open, and ten seconds later, he hollered, "I found a Spanish one! CALDO DE TOMATE (tomato/chicken bullion)!"
Admittedly though, I had a chuckle when he said, "cow." 'Tis true.
This afternoon, I decided it was high time to actually check on what was lurking in the top cupboard-- you know-- the one where the Chernobyl Taco Shells were hiding. What else was going to kill us up there? What sort of canned and dry goods had we stored up in that top pantry shelf? I had a fair idea that I would find an assortment of condiments, soups, some dry pasta, and some recipe ingredient items that I only use on occasion. Sure enough, I was right. In my search, I also uncovered these three items:
