While the hours wane on, I'm imagining Jay at home, relishing in the peace and quiet of not having a wife around for a few hours. Also in my imagination, I am certain that he and the dog are sharing a Porterhouse the size of Montana. Kind of like this:
Accept my apologies, please.
Real posts should resume tomorrow. Thanks for hanging in there with us. Yesterday, we officially surpassed the three-week mark without purchasing groceries or food of any kind. We still haven't tapped in to our monthly "allowance" fund, either. Today starts week four, and thus far, it really hasn't been all that difficult. Bartering exchanges have been plentiful and generous, and we haven't really missed the few things that have been gone and not replenished.
Saturday is also one of our pre-arranged outings that we set up prior to January 1st. It will involve a dinner that I won't have to cook OR pay for, coupled up with good times, giggles, and interesting shenanigans with another couple who are close family friends of ours. This long standing January date is always a highlight to our winter. Can't wait for the fun that will ensue, and again... the dinner I won't have to prepare that night.
Did I mention that I'm sort of excited about not making dinner? :)
