We are spoiled rotten.
I am spoiled. I had an apple for breakfast, and a banana with my lunch. Mid-morning, a co-worker gifted me a partially full bag of fresh mandarin oranges because her family just didn't care for them. Another co-worker brought in my free lettuce that she redeemed with my coupon while shopping this weekend.
I will say it again: We are spoiled rotten.
Once again, we are so rich in produce, due to all of these recent "gifts," we will have to prioritize what to use first in order to use it all before it is no longer viable. It will all get used. If we can't get to it fresh, I will freeze what is not used to have at a later time. We are thankful for each and every gift that we've been given.
Thank you, everyone. Thank you, thank you.
My winter greens have finally sprouted. I will have to make a relatively quick decision regarding what I will do with them next, but we are on our way to microgreens or lettuce once again. Mom also has an experiment using the bottoms of romaine hearts that we may try. Can't hurt, if it's going to the compost bin anyway, right?
We really, truly, want for nothing. It's an amazing feeling.
